Diamond Glass Lapping Plate

Most users find the capabilities of Shapton's DGLP astonishing.
The sharpest cut is born when two steel planes cross at an acute angle.
Yet every time a blade is sharpened on a sharpening stone, the stone itself changes shape, so over time, the planes at the blade's edge also change.
That is why it is so important to keep the sharpening stone itself flat. Apply the DGLP, and you will enjoy sharpening as never before.
The DGLP uses glass for its base, and this is what produces such high precision on the resulting sharpening stone plane.

GlassStone Holder

When you're trying to achieve an ultra-precise edge, the slightest wobble or vibration can result in distortions in the blade.
The GS Holder is heavy enough to use as a sharpening base, and its form gives it stability far higher than that of the GS Field Holder.
This holder also can be used with a DGLP on top.

GlassStone Pond

The GS Pond remains steady while sharpening, and can provide you with a stable work space even away from a sink.
Sharpening generally produces a dirty slurry which often splatters over the surroundings.
The GS Pond offers a space wide enough for sharpening as well as for catching the water that drips off the stone.

KUBO

Top-of-the-line lapping plate with diamonds electrodeposited on both sides
Improve and maintain precise sharpening stone flatness

The KUBO plate is a lead-free bronze cast with diamond grains implanted on both surfaces - the front for lapping sharpening stones, and the back for fixing damaged blades.
Just splash on enough water to drench the surface, and you can use KUBO to lap quickly and accurately.
A pair of 8mm SBR rubber covers protect the plate's high flatness against external shocks. When KUBO is enclosed in its covers, it can also be used as a stone holder.

NAORU

Standard lapping plate
Synergy of geometrical grooves with powder

The surface of NAORU is covered with grooves laid out in a geometrical pattern based on the principles of physics. The grooves increase the synergy between the plate and the lapping powders supplied with it, and also improve speed and accuracy when flattening any roughness on a sharpening stone.
Choose which lapping powders to use - coarse, medium or fine (sold separately) - according to the grit of the stone to be flattened.

Dimensions:
250 x 101 x 28mm
