DIAMOND GLASS LAPPING PLATE
Glass lapping plate with electrodeposited diamonds.
Not only does it correct the sharpening surface to ensure it is flat, it also relieves clogging and optimizes surface roughness.

FAQ
The KUROMAKU series comprises solid 15 mm sharpening stones, which come with a plastic storage case.
Both series are available in ten different grit sizes, but the lineup differs.
The GlassStone series products feature 5 mm tempered glass laminated to 5 mm sharpening stones.*
The RockStar series has 10 different models, while the GlassStone series has a total of 17 types.
*Product no. 50106 features 5 mm tempered glass laminated to a 10 mm sharpening stone.
When expressed in words rather than numerically, 'COARSE' represents the largest median particle size class, and 'NANO' the smallest.

Precautions for use
Sharpening stone
- Do not expose it to water for long periods of time.
- After use, wipe it dry. Leaving the whetstone wet or wrapped in a wet towel could soften it and reduce its durability.
- Do not leave the whetstone outdoors, or in direct sunlight.
- That could lead to weathering or cracking.
- Do not subject the whetstone to rapid drying.
- Placing it somewhere where it is directly exposed to wind, for example near a fan, could cause cracking.
- Store it at room temperature.
- Leaving the whetstone outdoors in a closed car or anywhere else that might experience abnormally high temperatures could cause it to crack.
- Do not expose it to hot water.
- Extreme temperature differences could make the whetstone crack.
- Do not clean with detergents or the like.
- These materials could cause qualitative changes and impair the whetstone's sharpening capability.
- Do not use a dishwasher or dryer on this product.
- Sudden temperature changes could cause it to crack, and knocks could cause it to chip.
Stainless-steel case
- Do not use any chlorine bleach, paint thinner, benzene, metal scouring pads, polishing powders, cleansers or the like on this product.
- This is because they may cause corrosion, scratches or rusting.
- Do not leave this case in contact with any other metal.
- Leaving the metal parts of this case in contact with other metals such as steel or aluminium could cause rust.
- Do not leave this case in contact with any salty or oily substances.
- This could cause rust or staining. If salty or oily substances do come into contact with the surface of the case, rinse them off well with water, then wipe dry with a cloth to remove any moisture.
- Do not subject the case to any strong impact, such as knocking or dropping it.
- This could scratch it, or result in deformation.
- Do not place any heavy objects on the case, or press it hard.
- There is a risk this could cause deformation or other damage.
Take care not to injure your hands or fingers etc. with the edges of the case.
